On Sunday September 2016, The Binalong Youth League team made their much anticipated Woodbridge Cup Grand Final appearance against the Manildra Rhinos. Ahead 6-4 at half time, Binalong suffered a controversial penalty in the second half to finish the game at 12 all. The draw forced both squads into a five minute each way 'Golden Point' match to decide the winner and Binalong lost 16-12.
